Further to our communication last week regarding Coaching, Ranges and Retail, wider guidance has now become available specifically related to indoor coaching.
We are very pleased to confirm that the Department of Culture Media and Sport has now agreed that indoor coaching is allowed in all three tiers in England from 00.01 on Wednesday 2nd December.
Summary related to indoor coaching:
Tier 1
Group classes can take place, but must follow the 'rule of six' which means up to five participants plus the coach.
Tier 2
One-to-one coaching can take place. Coaching a group from the same household/bubble can also take place.
Tier 3
One-to-one coaching can take place. Coaching a group from the same household/bubble can also take place.
There are exceptions for indoor disability sport, sport for educational purposes, and supervised sport and physical activity for under-18s, which can take place with larger groups mixing
You must ensure that in all environments, social distancing is observed and all necessary steps are to be taken to ensure a COVID-19 secure environment, such as cleaning of any shared equipment, balls etc.
