Van's the man

Van Phillips, Stoke Park, turned back the clock to win the Asset House Spring Classic at the Berkshire Golf Club - his second win at the event in three years.

Phillips scored a near faultless six-under-par 65 over the Blue Course which included just one bogey on the 18th. Van's score put him three shots clear of runners up David Stanton and Chris Rodgers who both shot a three-under-par 68. Mark Squire and Guy Woodman rounded out the top 5 with both scoring a two-under-par 69.

The victory puts Phillips in top spot on the BB&O Order of Merit.
