Virgin Atlantic has chosen to extend its long-standing and successful relationship with The PGA in England (South) into 2014, using its recently launched Little Red brand.
The firm will sponsor the region’s Order of Merit schedule, which promises excitement and intrigue as Richard Wallis attempts to defend his title for the fifth consecutive year.
Virgin Atlantic’s head of specialist and regional sales Kerry Douglas is delighted with the new arrangements. She commented: “We are very pleased to continue our highly valued partnership with The PGA in England (South), especially in 2014 when we have our new Little Red services connecting southern golfers to Scotland during such a prominent year for European golf.”
PGA regional secretary Sam Smith said: “Virgin Atlantic’s decision to continue the association with The PGA in England (South) once more is fantastic news in more ways than one. It’s great to have their continued support for our Order of Merit schedule in 2014, one which will undoubtedly see an even higher level of competition between our best players.
"To have that support in the year when the Ryder Cup match is going to return to Scotland is brilliant news for all our members and supporters as well.”
