Alex Mollin, who earlier this year received the Lord Derby Memorial Trophy after surpassing her second year peers on the PGA Foundation Degree, has once again been busy organising the Voisin and Volaw PGA Channel Island Challenge, now in its second successful year.

On Wednesday October 16, professionals will be competing at Les Mielles Golf & Country Club over 36 holes alongside category one amateur players, followed by an 18 hole Pro-Am on Thursday 17th October.

The event has a professional prize fund of £3,000, including a £750 first prize, with amateur prizes from Titleist and Foot-Joy. PGA professionals can enter here.

The Voisin & Volaw PGA Channel Islands Challenge is becoming a major event in the Jersey golf scene, and PGA professionals are being encouraged to make a weekend of the event and take advantage of Jersey’s fabulous beaches, warm weather and unspoiled landscape. The largest of the Channel Islands, Jersey has a unique blend of British and French influences and regularly tops the charts for being the warmest place in the British Isles. More information on Jersey including accommodation and travel can be found on www.jersey.com.

For more information, please contact The PGA in England (South) on 01483 224200, or e-mail pgainenglandsouth@pga.org.uk

Professionals are encouraged to bring an amateur partner with them to compete in the two day event. Entry for the category one event is £100.00 and £60.00 for other amateurs.
