Richard Wallis and Nick McCarthy share a three-stroke lead on eight under par ahead of the final round of the Kerry London Championship on the 888poker.com PGA EuroPro Tour.
Billy Fowles, who won the Kerry London Championship last year, is third on the leaderboard at Burhill Golf Club, with George Cowan and Spaniard Sebastian Garcia Grout four shots off the lead and three players tied sixth on three under.
Wallis (Walmer & Kingsdown Golf Club) held a one-shot overnight lead and began his second round confidently with a birdie on the first. A bogey at seven took him back to level par for the round but birdies at 11 and 12 saw him sign for a two-under-par 70, taking his total score to eight under.
McCarthy (Moortown Golf Club) shot 68 in both his first and second rounds. Six birdies and two bogeys saw him join Wallis at the top of the leaderboard and the pair will tee off at 12:03pm for their final round on Saturday (June 1).
Fowles carded a magnificent 64 on the final day at Burhill 12 months ago to win the 2012 Kerry London Championship and is well-placed to mount a challenge for the title again this year.
The Wentworth golfer has finished fifth and sixth in the two 888poker.com PGA EuroPro Tour events of the season so far and is on course for at least another top ten placing this week.
Following the conclusion of the Kerry London Championship the top five players on the Order of Merit will be invited to play in the Challenge Tour’s Scottish Hydro Challenge, along with the top five Scottish nationals on the Order of Merit.
This ensures the winner of the Kerry London Championship an invite to the Challenge Tour event in Scotland.
A two-hour highlights show will be broadcast four times on Sky Sports HD on Wednesday, June 12.
