Chris Kelly had three eagles but still had to share the spoils after a five under par 67 in the Easter Moffat Golf Club pro-am.

Joining Kelly at the top were Samuel Binning (Mearns Castle), Paul O'Hara (Clydeway Golf), Jonathon Lomas (Caprington), Greg McBain (Newmachar) and Jason McCreadie (Largs).

Binning, O'Hara and Lomas had bogey-free rounds.

Kelly, a past winner of this event with a 63 in 2010, had eagles at the par-5 sixth, the par-4 eighth and the par-5 11th.

Greig Hutcheon (Paul Lawrie Golf Centre Inchmarlo) was bidding for a fourth successive victory at Easter Moffat but finished down the field.

They all earned £697 each

Binning also led the Bogey Men Team to victory on 21 under par 123. The amateurs were Dave Weir (handicap 15), Stuart Collins (15) and Alan Muslek (9).

Jason McCreadie's team, Coronet Cleaning, also returned a net score of 123 but lost out on a comparison of the inward halves.
