James Wood (Highgate) and his father Alan head the leaderboard after the first day of the Ingrebourne Valley PGA Autumn Classic.
The duo recorded a fine tally of 43 points under a greensomes stableford format at the superb Aldeburgh Golf Course.
James and his 21-handicap partner hold a two-point lead from Chris Cutchie (Colchester) and Bill Hart (11 handicap).
In third place, on 40 points, are Andrew George (Ely) and Mick Munnelly (14). That pair are looking to follow up on their PGA Spring Classic at Hunstanton/Kings Lynn back in April.
The second round of the Ingrebourne Valley PGA Autumn Classic takes place over the fine James Braid lay-out at Thorpeness. The format will be better-ball stableford.
