Honiton Golf Club are looking to recruit a PGA Assistant Professional. Applications will be considered from qualified PGA Assistant Professionals as well as candidates wishing to take up, or are currently on the PGA Training programme.
This is an excellent opportunity to join Adrian Cave in his business at a forward-thinking and thriving Golf Club, with excellent earning potential for the right candidate.
Facilities include a large indoor teaching studio with putting green, which are available to use allowing all year-round coaching and club fitting (subject to the candidate having the right qualifications).
Full support and guidance will be given to the Trainee during their PGA studies with appropriate time given to complete their studies and playing tournament golf.
The responsibilities and characteristics of the role will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service, fostering positive relationships with members and visitors.
- Lead & continue to develop the Junior Academy.
- Ability to build and grow your own coaching clientele and classes (subject to having the appropriate qualifications).
- Learn and apply effective club fitting and repairs techniques.
- To be able to take bookings for multiple services such as tee times, custom fittings etc.
- Aim to maximise sales and revenues in the Pro Shop.
- To take the lead on day-to-day merchandising of stock.
- General admin tasks, including answering the phone and assisting stock control.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.
- A positive attitude.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment in the Pro Shop and the Golf Club management.
- Excellent IT and Social Media Skills.
- A good understanding of golf competitions and golf equipment.
