Are you a skilled PGA Professional (fully or partially qualified) who is passionate about providing excellent customer service, retail and tuition? MB Golf will be moving to Kirby Muxloe Golf Club in Spring 2025 and is seeking a talented individual to join the team.
Kirby Muxloe Golf Club was formed in 1893 and is located to the west of Leicester. It is a prestigious club with a full membership book and a healthy waiting list. This attracts a regular flow of visiting parties and is in recurring demand to host County, Regional and National competitions.
In addition to its eighteen-hole golf course, there is a Driving Range, short game area and practice putting facilities.
As the Assistant PGA Professional, you will play a pivotal role supporting the Director at MB Golf in providing an exceptional golfing experience for Kirby Muxloe GC members and visitors. You will be responsible for providing high-quality golf instruction (coaching of all ages), helping to organise and coordinate tournaments/competitions and managing our impressive pro shop.
The successful candidate should possess excellent personal skills in dealing with customers face to face, be ethical, trustworthy, reliable and hardworking to ensure the continued success of MB Golf and the service we will provide to Kirby Muxloe Golf Club members and visitors.
Experience and Qualifications
- Fully or partially qualified PGA Professional
- Strong knowledge of golf rules, etiquette and techniques
- Excellent organisation and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer skills
- Knowledge of social media platforms ideal but not essential
- Enthusiastic and hardworking with the drive to deliver a top-quality service
Responsibilities
- Be part of a small team to provide excellent customer service and ensure a positive experience for all members and guests
- Manage tee time reservations and ensure efficient flow of play on the course
- Helping to manage the range facility
- Provide excellent and efficient club repairs
- Support with selling a full range of golf equipment, custom fittings and clothing within the Pro Shop
- Support with ordering stock and managing stock control
- Stay updated on industry trends and developments to provide knowledgeable recommendations to members and guests
- Support the Club’s rules and policies
