Trainee/PGA Registered Assistant – Walton Heath Golf Club

Walton Heath Golf Club is one of the world’s most highly regarded golf clubs, famous for its rich golfing and political history and the quality of its two exceptional heathland courses. Former Captains have included King Edward VIII and our first Professional was five-time Open Champion, and PGA co-founder, James Braid. Over the years, the Club has played host to the 1981 Ryder Cup, 2011 Senior Open, 2018 British Masters, and most recently the AIG Women’s Open in 2023.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a new Trainee/Registered PGA Assistant to join the team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain experience at a world class members club. We are looking for a friendly, motivated individual who is confident, can work as part of a team and provide a first-class service to both members and visitors.

Good personal skills are essential, the successful applicant will have good IT skills, enjoy all aspects of a golf professionals’ role and have a passion for both coaching and custom fitting.

Duties will include but not limited to:

  • Retail, Merchandising and Inventory management.
  • Coaching including groups and juniors.
  • Offering a first-class service to members/visitors.
  • Custom fitting
  • Playing with members and representing the golf club at all times.
  • Average of 30 Hours per week, annualised over the year.
